I'm Found - Brutus's Story

My name is Kaitlin and I along with my boyfriend Michael adopted our dog from your shelter. We’ve kept the name you gave him, “Brutus”, and I’m writing to let you know how he’s doing.

Brutus has become a huge part of our lives and our family, and oh how we love him. He is growing faster and faster every day, and every day is a new adventure with him. When I am at work during the days, Michael always has a new story to tell me about what Brutus has done, or what he has done with Brutus.

When we picked up Brutus we told you that we sometimes dog sit for our room‑mates mother. Well now that dog lives with us. Brutus and his new best friend Sneakers, a 6 year old lab/collie mix, play with each other all day long and we have some really great pictures of the two of them together.

When we made the appointment for his neutering and his hernia operation, they told us that they might have to keep him overnight, and the both of us laughed because we didn't want to give "our puppy" to someone else over night.

I am filling out a volunteer application for the shelter. I’d just like to come in and play with the animals, because when we got Brutus, I realized how there can never be enough help.

Soon we’ll bring Brutus down to the Shelter so you can see how he's doing for yourself. Thank you so much for allowing us to give Brutus a home. I assure you that he is getting nothing but the best of love.
